the purpose of studying

What is the purpose of studying?Different people has different answer. To me, I think studing is a skill which can earn money.Everybody knows that"knowledge is power", but only a few people knows how to translate knoledge to power, most people only master the knowledge they get.
In school, we are taught and trained ,but not been given the way using knowledge.This is a disadvantage in education.

stealing

At Wen afternoon, I was in library reading a novel .Suddenly a Asia girl came near me and asked me if I saw somebody passed there. Of course I didn't care anybody because I was addicted in reading .The girl looked disappointed.
Five minutes later, a police came here and the girl told the whole story that she was stolen. I flet a little nervous and compunctions.I don't know if the police asked me or not, and if I just pay little attention on other people, maybe I can help the girl.
After that, I began to pay attention to the people who were aroun me in library, but I didn't meet stealing any more.

I am not good at writing about travling even in my fist language. Usually, I show the pics and say,"hehe".Someone really are good at it, when I read their articles, I usually imagine “what amazing place!I f I can got there……”
Anyway, we also visited a aircraft carrier and the Padre Island National Seashore ,where is a really good place.
When we fought back, there was a small accident in the fly because the bad weather. When they noticed us, I felt I were not nervours or cry, in fact I was very very peaceful. I can't remenber all awards and achivements are at that time. I don't eager anyting like money, fame, but I feel I don't want to die. YES. The only wish at that time is I really want to be live .
Luckily, three minutes later, we were safe again,but I can't forget the feeling at that time.

The second day we went to the beach where is suit for swimming . We enjoyed the sun, the water, and the relax.Also, there are lots of fishing ship where people can buy fresh shrimp about 2-3 dollar/pound. We also found some intersting animals, like turtle, acaleph, and cormorant.

We tried some different restaurants in downtown, and the most delicious one is located a T head called"Joe's""(Maybe, I'm not sure).

At 11:00am we arrived Corpus Christi for our first trip in America, then we wasted two hours to get out baggage due to the flight lost passengers' baggage. After that, we found the hotel,and slept for whole afernoon because I finished my homework till 4:30 am today.Before I went there, I were too excite to sleep.

At evening we drove the rent car to visit the small city, it locates in suburb and very small. You can drove through its downtown in ten minutes. And there are lots of plants around streets.Anyway, I felt it's a quiet and good place.

exercise& health

Scientists said people who usually exercise are more healthy . YES, I agree it, but I really don't agree the method of they exercise in gym. I usually go to gym after I went to Amerca, and I find some intresting things there. For example, when I exercise my leg power with machine, I will use the standard a little less than I can afford.Like I can afford 50, but I will choose 30 ,so I can't be hurt and will exercise for long time. But Amercian like to choose a little more than they can afford, if they can afford 50, they will choose70.So ,when they are exercising, they are like be afflicted by the machine. In my opinion, I think exercise should not heavy and should persist in it.

squirrels

Small squirrels are usually seen in campus. They are the new-borned cute squirrels, and they aren't afraid of people.
One time, when I went to the building, I found a small squirrel on street. It was walking and looked a little afraid people because it walked rapidly to the nearest tree. In China, looking squirrels are uncomman, so I stop walking to avoid scare it. One minute late, it came to the tree, and began stay there to eat nuts. OH, no. Squirrel. I yielded you for your safety, but you just care your nuts!

interesting words

Every word has its own meaning. I don't know the accurate history of English words, but I know Chinese words history. According to old story, after words were created, everything shocked, and the spirits felt sad because poeple will know the secret of the universe. So , in traditional China, people never write bad words on paper because bad words have bad means , and they will take people bad luck.
But now, nobody cares about that afer Internet.People write anything they want.It's a good thing or not, I don't know

Insect

I found some trees and bushes have been eaten by spider in and out campus.First, the spider wrap a part of trees,and we'll see a big cobweb in the trees. Then , the leaves became brown and dry,then the leaves disapeeared. After that, there will be other cobwebs in trees around there and leaves disappear.
I googled and knew that some spiders done eaten plants , but this phenomenna should be controlled.

Swimming

This Sat.noon-3:00p.m., my husband and I went to swimming in the outside pool of activity building. I still can't swim although I learned from last August. I usually worry about drowning in the pool despite everybody said nobody dies in the pool.However, I can float and swim by the help of floating board . And after almost one year staying in water, I have learned to stay in water for two minutes. Thus, I can get some pleasure in swimming.
But, yesterday my husband and my skin were hurt by sunlight without sunblock and then the skin became red and painful.Ahh~~~

Tomb-sweeping Day

Tomb-sweeping Day dates back about 3,ooo year ago to honor a great man_Jizitui, and gradually becomes a day to honor ancestors. Traditonally, people go to the ancestors' grave to honor(like the picture)
To me, Tomb-sweeping Day means great food, Zouzi, and some intresting activities like kites and strings. Zouzi is usually made by rice with sweet jujube and wrapped by leaves. It tastes soft and sweet, a little bit like cakes. And wearing string means wearing a seven color string on hand wrist. People should throw it when the first rain after they wear. Then they'll be blessed happy and healthy in the whole year.

Habit

Changing a habit is very difficult .Just like me, I addict to read novels, no matter which kind.
When I am reading, I can be without eating, drinking, and sleeping. Not until finish the novels, I will not go to bed. This Saturday night, I got a novel then read, read, read till 7a.m Sunday. Then I slept one whole day in home. It's a really bad habit because it wastes my lots time and hurts my healthy. I don’t want to kick the habit, but I will read less this kind novel

Father's Day

Today is father's day .I bought a card for my father and will send to him.

My father and I don't get along very well because our characters are too similary.Althouth I know my father has been taking care of me so many years, I don't like to talk to him as I don't know how to talk and what should talk to him. I ignore his payment and care, I refuse to talk to him , and I never say I really take care of him in my heart.

With I grow up, my father becomes older. Sometimes I feel regret to my father.Maybe our relationship will became better through communicate. So, I bought the card that I really like because the words on it."Although I never tell you, I feel very lucky ~~Dad , we love you forever".

anniversary

June 13th is my marriage anniversary day.My husband and I went to the Yuanlu Restaurant to celebrate it, after dinner, we went to supermark to buy some cards each other.

Time flies quickly. When I still think the marriage celebration happend yesterday, one year has past.In this year,although we brawled many times, we have get along better than before . And I have how to forgive others, how to balance work and life, how to respect others .

Paris Hiton

I have not finished my homework because the essay is very difficult to me. I felt embrassed because most classmates have finished their homework.
Paris Hilton has been put in jail again after she was released to home confinement .I think it OK When I knew the news that she went to home confinement after she had stayed in jail for two days. But the Americans looks care about she, the socialite, and think the judgement is unfare. It's obviously unfair but she has enough money to get more , even prerogative. Maybe after Paris Hiton, the judgment will be more fair no matter she/he is common or the rich.

Hang out

Today is a crazy and happy day. We went out for two meals ,lunch and dinner. For lunch, we ,four friends , went to a Chinese restaurant which located in Akans ST .The cakes here are dilicious but a little expensive.But I have never met a China restaurant here is as dilicious as in China.
We had dinner with other friends who came to the U.S to study EMBA here for only one year .we cooked dumpling and fried chicken .OH, chicken,chicken ,my favorite! Although I know I should have more vegetable than meat, I still love meat, especially fried chickens.After dinner, we talked about the development of China.Also, they asked me what're the differences in Amrican and China. I ,I don't know.I have been here for about ten months but I don't feel a lot difficults in life and culture. People are people, they are basically the same, I think.

Today I created a blog because our grammar&writing teacher, Dereck , asked us to create one. I had have a blog in MSN, but I gradually gave up it since I lose interesting to it.Hope this new one can keep long time.
